Highlights:“Tachaea kamphaengsaenensis sp. n., a parasitic isopod on Macrobrachium lanchesteri, is reported from six Thai provinces. It harms the prawn’s exoskeleton and eggs, differs morphologically by setal patterns, and is monophyletically distinct from T. chinensis and T. spongillicola. This is the first record on M. lanchesteri and the second prawn-parasitic isopod in Thailand.”
