“This study demonstrates that calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) induces astrocyte dysfunction by increasing intracellular calcium levels and altering cellular metabolism. Significant changes in key neurochemical markers were observed, highlighting disrupted astrocyte function. These findings suggest that calcium and metabolic profiling could serve as early biomarkers and therapeutic targets for CGRP-related neurovascular disorders.”
