Recovery-oriented Mental Health Training Interventions: An Integrative Review
• This integrative review synthesizes recovery-oriented training programmes for mental health professionals.
• It identified 20 training programmes, classified into 7 categories based on core attributes and underlying theories.
• Most interventions reported positive effects on healthcare professionals’ knowledge and attitudes toward recovery, and were also associated with improved patient recovery outcomes.
• Key implementation barriers included organisational restructuring, workload, professional constraints (e.g., limited time, philosophical opposition), and service users’ conditions.
