• This article presents a systematic review and meta-analysis protocol designed to synthesize quantitative evidence on emergency department triage training effectiveness for nurses.
• The aim is to identify which training modalities are most effective at improving triage accuracy and related outcomes.
• The review will systematically search major databases (PubMed, CINAHL, Embase, Scopus, Web of Science) and use Joanna Briggs Institute tools for quality appraisal.
• Findings from this review will inform evidence-based triage education that enhances clinical decision-making, reduces errors, and supports patient safety in emergency care.
